Tutorials
Patok Gemba, one piece at a time.
Short pieces in Spanish, recorded over the real application on the Monteluna Manufacturing demo plant. They are ordered by learning, not by number: first the model, then the floor, then the phone and the agent, and quality and maintenance at the end.
There are 22 pieces published today. The rest say “coming soon” — there are no fake links here.

The mental model and the plant at a glance. If you are only going to watch two, these are the two.
- GT-000 The model in one sentence Order, job, lot and machine: four words that explain everything else. And the one almost everyone confuses: the state of the machine is not the state of the job. 3:11 Watch the tutorial
- GT-001 The plant at a glance The six perspectives of the floor and the question each one answers: work, material, orders, kanban, machines and log. Watch the tutorial
The floor
Machines and downtime, the orders, the board, releasing and controlling, the log and the Command Center.
- GT-002 Machines: states, queue and the two clocks How to read a machine: four states, four zones, two clocks and downtime with a reason — with the warning that there are two paths and only the downtime button feeds the Pareto. Watch the tutorial
- GT-003 Orders I — the planner’s notebook The day’s plan and its warnings, the six states, the three perspectives (order, machine, customer), the row you type into that saves itself, re-prioritising and the signed plan versions. 5:15 Watch the tutorial
- GT-004 Orders II — the board as a sprint The floor kanban: five columns, the card as a job, the chips that pivot, the labels that build a sprint, and dragging as the floor’s verb. Watch the tutorial
- GT-005 Release and control A whole order from the plan to the floor: the floor kit, releasing, the machine queue, starting and completing. Completing asks one question — how much came out good — and that quantity is what creates the output lot. Watch the tutorial
- GT-012 The log: the memory nobody writes The plant’s day told by itself, with its time, its machine and the door each entry came through. 414 entries in the history, none of them typed by hand. Watch the tutorial
- GT-034 The Command Center: ask, confirm, resolve What gets asked out loud gets lost out loud. Every action says why it was asked before it says what is asked, and it belongs to a team, not to a loose individual. Watch the tutorial
The phone and the agent
The console in your hand, WhatsApp, and everything the agent can answer about your own plant.
- GT-026 Patok Console: the plant in your hand The floor app on the operator’s phone: one machine per screen, the four actions on it, the four ways to record, and the shift pulse. Watch the tutorial
- GT-027 WhatsApp: linking up and talking to the plant Link your number once, stand at a machine, and from there speak short: a six-word downtime that lands with its reason, the forklift call with its number, and the restart. Watch the tutorial
- GT-013 Asking the agent The agent answers with your machines and their queues, reconstructs an order’s day hour by hour, hands you the shift report as a PDF inside the conversation, and says no when it has no permission. Real answers, unedited. Watch the tutorial
- GT-028 Continuous improvement from the chat Root cause without leaving the conversation: an Ishikawa with the 6Ms ranked by impact, five guided whys down to a systemic cause, and the printable PDF that comes out of it. Watch the tutorial
- GT-029 The shift report, and who receives it You ask for the report in one sentence and it arrives two ways: in your inbox and in the chat as a PDF. Inside: utilisation machine by machine, the downtime reason, and the late orders by name. Watch the tutorial
- GT-035 The digital employees Two agents with different jobs: the floor one, with hands to operate the plant; and the analyst, who does not touch it and cannot even if you ask. Each with its brief written in plain language and its own inbox. Watch the tutorial
- GT-037 An analyst by e-mail: send the file, get the report back You send the file dirty as it is — the same machine spelled two ways, empty cells, a date in another format — and two minutes later the report, a dashboard, the detail in Excel and the cleaned file come back so you can check what was cleaned instead of trusting it. Watch the tutorial
Quality and maintenance
The inspection at the machine, the board, the non-conformities and the paper a claim produces.
- GT-030 Inspecting a part at the machine Measure, rule and decide what happens to the part — release, rework, scrap or hold — right there, in under a minute, and walk away with the printed label on it. Watch the tutorial
- GT-033 Quality: the two lanes What gets inspected and what somebody complained about, on one board: compliance broken out by machine, the inspection that failed with its lot and its time, and the non-conformities with their origin written down — internal, customer and supplier. Watch the tutorial
- GT-032 Maintenance: what hurts today Three different questions: what is stopped, what is about to stop, and what hurts most. With the reliability ranking and the lesson: the machine that hurts most is not the one that fails most, it is the one that takes longest to come back. Watch the tutorial
- GT-036 Walks and audits: the round that leaves a trace A round leaves a time, a name and what failed, written by whoever saw it. And the three words that have to be kept apart: the script, the round, and the series — which is the only one that shows a trend. Watch the tutorial
- GT-038 The supplier claim: from non-conformity to paper A floor signal with a counterparty becomes a claim, is captured in the language of the plant’s own catalogue, and on issue becomes an official numbered document nobody can change any more. Watch the tutorial
- GT-039 The quality inbox: from a customer e-mail to a case A customer sends an ordinary e-mail to the quality inbox. Out comes a case with the counterparty matched against the customer list, the line item, the catalogue defect and the evidence — leaving blank what the e-mail did not say. Watch the tutorial
- GT-040 A new quality check: what is measured and against what Creating an inspection type from the quality board itself: classification when you judge, measurement when you measure. And why the limits and the unit are what turn a measurement into a verdict anyone can repeat. 3:35 Watch the tutorial
Coming soon
Modules of the curriculum that are not recorded yet. They are listed so you know what is missing, not to promise a date.
- GT-006 The paper that travels: traveler, QR labels and printing The sheet that rides with the material, the label with its QR and its lineage, and what gets scanned at each step. coming soon
- GT-017 Materials and requisitions Asking for material, the requisition, and its cycle until the lot lands in the warehouse. coming soon
- GT-018 MRP: what has to be bought and when What the plan demands against what is on hand, and the date it stops being enough. coming soon
- GT-019 Data sources: where what the floor already knows comes in Connections and ingestion: the ERP file, the e-mail with the purchase order, and what turns into a plan. coming soon
- GT-020 Vision and visual memory Collecting, labelling, inspecting by image, and what stays stored from all of it. coming soon
- GT-022 Living Plant: reading the plant in space The floor’s twin: the same information, placed where it actually is. coming soon
- GT-024 The seven o’clock meeting The morning board, and the e-mail that arrives before the meeting starts. coming soon
The series is recorded on the demo environment, never on a customer’s data. Monteluna Manufacturing is a fictitious plant with synthetic data. Narration is in Spanish.
I let you know as each one comes out
One e-mail per piece, nothing else. And up front, the floor on one page as a PDF.
Done. The floor on one page is on its way. Check your inbox: it comes from me, from Horacio. And the Gemba tutorials will reach you as they are published.
